How to play Ticket to Ride: rules and scoring

• 2–5 players
• USA or Europe
• End-of-game score

Goal: Claim train routes across the map, connect the cities on your tickets and score the most points.

Setup

• Everyone starts with 45 cars and 4 train cards.
• Keep at least two of your tickets.

How to play

1. On your turn, draw cards, claim a route or draw tickets.
2. To claim a route, play as many cards of its colour as it is long.
3. On the Europe map a station lets you use someone else’s route.

Scoring

Winning

• When someone has 2 cars or fewer, everyone plays one last turn.
• Completed tickets are added and failed ones taken off.
• The most points wins.
