How to play Mus: rules and scoring

• To 40

Goal: Score in four separate bets with your partner and be first to 40.

Setup

• A 40-card Spanish deck.
• 4 cards each.

How to play

1. First the card exchange (mus).
2. Grande, chica, pares and juego are played. For juego, face cards count 10.
3. Órdago puts the whole game on the line.

Scoring

• Each bet’s winner takes its points: an accepted bet (envite) is usually 2, a refused one 1.
• Pares: a pair 1, medias 2, duples 3. Juego: 31 is 3, any other 2. Punto: 1.
• Winning an accepted órdago wins the game.

Winning

• The first team to the target wins.
• Tables often play best of 3 games (vacas); the app scores one game.
