How to play Klaverjassen: rules and scoring

Goal: Score card points and roem with your partner and lead after the deals.

Setup

• Two teams, partners facing.
• 8 cards each.

How to play

1. One team chooses trump and plays.
2. Follow suit; if you can’t, trump, and overtrump a trump already played.
3. In Amsterdams, which the app scores, you needn’t trump your partner’s winning trick.
4. The jack of trump is highest, the nine second.
5. Sequences and stuk bring roem.
